Perfect World is a MMORPG developed by Beijing Perfect World Co.,Ltd. and published by Cubinet Interactive Sdn. Bhd. Perfect World is set in the world of Pangu where three major tribes, Humans, Winged Elves and Werebeasts coexist. It is a world of magic and high fantasy featuring the Chinese creation myth as its backdrop and leveraging on a rich and diverse oriental setting.

While Perfect World is free to play (f2p), the game relies on items sold into an in-game cash shop to make profits. Use of the cash shop is completely optional, but some items found there can improve your gameplay or make it easier, while others have only cosmetic functions.
Currency used in the cash shop can be bought from the websites of each company running a version of the game. Alternatively, cash shop currency can also be bought in the auction hall with ingame coins, provided players set some for sale. There is no set value for them, the pricing is left to the discretion of the selling players.
Recently, it has been advertised on the PWI website that pre-charged cards can be bought from 7-11 and Target locations. These cards are designed to allow players who, due to age or financial inability, may not have a credit card.
